CBO Refutes Claims Of Bank Electronic System Hack

Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) has dismissed rumors regarding a hacking incident aimed at the electronic systems of the nation’s banks. In an official statement, the CBO emphasized that the circulating information is both false and misleading. The bank reassured the public that all banking systems are functioning securely and have not been affected by any hacking attempts.

Additionally, the Central Bank of Oman has encouraged the public to seek information exclusively from official channels.

In its statement, the CBO remarked: "In response to the rumors about a breach of banks' electronic systems, the Central Bank of Oman wishes to clarify that this information is false and inaccurate. It confirms that banking systems are operating securely and have not experienced any hacking incidents."

"The Central Bank of Oman advises everyone to rely on official sources for information," the statement concluded.
