Carrefour Oman, managed by UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim, has officially declared its exit from Oman, effective January 7, 2025.
In a statement shared on its official Instagram account, the company conveyed its appreciation to Omani customers for their steadfast support throughout the years, signifying the conclusion of a notable chapter in Oman's retail sector. Carrefour, a prominent French multinational retail corporation, is recognized as one of the largest supermarket chains globally, known for its extensive network of hypermarkets and supermarkets.
This departure from Oman represents a substantial shift in the country's retail environment.
