Border Security Boost: ROP Apprehends 25 Infiltrators, Offers Humanitarian Aid

Muscat: In a string of recent raids, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has detained 25 people for unlawful infiltration, including medical treatment for eleven who were exhausted and dehydrated.

The Nimr Police Unit, which is part of the Oil and Gas Installations Security Police, made a noteworthy capture in an oil facility zone. They arrested an Omani national who was driving 14 Ethiopian intruders in a four-wheel drive vehicle. Following this, ROP patrols found another 11 infiltrators of the same nationality trying to navigate desert terrain on foot. Some of these people were apparently suffering from exhaustion and dehydration, and they were given immediate medical help before legal processes began.

Separately, the Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command successfully detained a Yemeni national. He was detained for unlawfully entering the nation and is suspected of committing sabotage and theft at two commercial establishments in Ibri. He remains in custody while formal legal proceedings are initiated.

These actions highlight the Oman Police's persistent dedication to protecting national security and offering vital humanitarian assistance when needed.
