Belarusian Prime Minister Visits National Museum, Royal Opera House Muscat

Muscat: On Monday, Roman Golovchenko, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, embarked on a visit to the National Museum as a part of his official tour of the Sultanate of Oman.

During his visit, Golovchenko, accompanied by a distinguished delegation, engaged in a comprehensive tour of the museum, during which he received an informative briefing on the various exhibits that highlight the cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman. In particular, he paid special attention to the Maritime History Hall, where he examined documents detailing the Omani fleet during the reign of Sultan Said bin Sultan and observed artifacts recovered from the wreckage of Vasco da Gama's vessel.

Furthermore, Golovchenko explored several halls within the museum that shed light on various aspects of Oman's history. These included the Civilization Achievements Hall, the Aflaj Hall, and the "Greatness of Islam" Hall.

In addition, the Prime Minister had the opportunity to visit a pavilion within the Renaissance Hall, which is dedicated to the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimour. Here, he had the privilege of viewing the original manuscript of "Message No. 1" addressed to the Royal Family Council and had the chance to examine the Al Busaidi Family timeline and a collection of Royal possessions, which included notable gifts presented to the late Sultan by leaders of friendly and cooperative nations.

Later in the day, Golovchenko also made a visit to the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM). During his tour, he was provided with an in-depth briefing on the architectural marvels of the Royal Opera House, which seamlessly blend Omani cultural heritage with architectural influences from various continents.

This visit was a testament to the strong diplomatic ties between Belarus and Oman, fostering cultural exchange and mutual respect.
