New Delhi: In a significant announcement, Apple has revealed its plans to expand its retail presence in India by opening four additional stores. These new locations will be situated in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai, marking a strategic expansion for the US multinational electronics manufacturer.
The expansion of Apple's retail network in India has been a gradual process, with the company's inaugural two stores opening in April 2023, located in Delhi and Mumbai.
Apple has confirmed that it will soon make the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, which are manufactured in India, available to local consumers and for export to select countries worldwide.
The journey of iPhone manufacturing in India began in 2017 and has since grown to employ over 3,000 individuals. Currently, Apple is at the forefront of manufacturing the entire iPhone 16 lineup, including the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models.
During its annual event on September 9, Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, showcasing innovative features such as Apple Intelligence, enhanced display sizes, cutting-edge camera technology, improved graphics for an immersive gaming experience, and more, all powered by the A18 Pro chip.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are available in four distinct finishes: black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium. Pre-orders for these models commenced on September 13, with availability scheduled to begin on September 20.
