Muscat: On Monday, Gen. Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, hosted a farewell meeting in his office with Jota Yamamoto, the Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic mission.
The ambassador expressed gratitude for the support he received throughout his tenure and praised the strong bilateral relations between Japan and Oman.
In response, Al Nu’amani commended the ambassador's efforts in strengthening ties and fostering cooperation between the two nations. He extended his best wishes for the ambassador's future endeavors.
Additionally, Gen. Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani welcomed Lyu Jian, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Oman. Al Nu’amani conveyed his hopes for the ambassador's success in fulfilling his responsibilities and discussed the ongoing bilateral relations.
The Chinese ambassador expressed his commitment to enhancing cooperation to benefit both countries.
Furthermore, Gen. Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani met with Gen. Thierry Burkhard, Chief of Defence Staff of the French Republic, along with his delegation. The discussions focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation to enhance the security of both nations, highlighting the historical ties between Oman and France.
The meeting was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and the French ambassador to Oman.
