30 Expats, Including 21 Women, Arrested For Immoral Acts In Muttrah

Muscat: The Police Command in the Governorate of Muscat detained thirty people, including twenty-one women of various Asian nationalities, for engaging in actions incompatible with morals and public decency in a hotel in the Wilayat of Mattrah.

Legal procedures are currently being initiated against them.

In another occurrence, an Omani national and an Indian expatriate were caught for holding a large quantity of psychotropic drugs.

The arrests were made by the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, which operates under the Police Command of the Northern Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

According to officials, both people were discovered with a big number of psychotropic tablets, which were purportedly intended for illegal trafficking and distribution.

Legal processes are now being served against them.
